Originally a small fishing village, then a summer resort for wealthy Maltese, St Julian's has developed rapidly into a lively, high-density tourist resort, with the hub of vibrant nightlife in the Paceville area. The older 2-storey houses are giving way to modern multistorey buildings, especially along the seafront road, but commendable efforts have been made in Spinola Bay to preserve the local ambience. |
