Antwerp

Antwerp is one of those currently quite underground cities, and outside Belgium it is still a relatively well kept secret. But listen up because it's trendy and fun – small enough so as not to intimidate and the Belgians remind me of the Irish in that they are lovely people to deal with. Yet, while there is an itsy bitsy amount of underlying animosity there between the Flanders and the Walloons, they live very happily side-by-side. clothes shops, excellent bars and restaurants, and loads and loads of great underground club nights along the old docks. From Salsa nights to "mad ou'of it" raves, Antwerp is a kickin' city. All this is proven by the fact that all the Trendy Wendy's in Brussels head to Antwerp when they are in a party mood.
